We’ve just released an updated version of Omm to the testnet.
This release includes a new Rewards page, where you can claim the Omm Tokens you earn from participating in the markets, then stake them or supply liquidity on Balanced to earn more OMM.
Head over to test.omm.finance to try it out, and take a look at the Omm docs for more details.
In this version of the testnet, we’ll do a guarded launch, which we plan to replicate for the mainnet release in a few weeks.
What do we mean by a guarded launch, and why is it necessary?
OMM rewards accrue in real time. To make sure everyone has a fair chance to earn OMM, and the team can take their time when launching Omm on the mainnet, Omm Tokens won’t be available to earn immediately.
For the first 2 days, you can participate in the money markets and earn interest, but you won’t earn Omm Tokens. Your OMM will begin accruing from day 3 (August 26 at 5am UTC), and will be claimable from day 8 (August 31) onwards.
From day 8, you’ll be able to claim your OMM from the Rewards page, and use the full functionality of the app.
